Tarhead Studio have launched a Kickstarter campaign on February 2nd for their upcoming action arena game RUiN.
RUiN is all about balancing precision and tactics with action and chaos. Originally inspired by the Warcraft III mod Warlock, Tarhead set out to make an arcade style arena game that captures the raw joy and hilarity of fast-paced, chaotic gameplay with strong core mechanics and the rewarding feeling of mastering them.
This game is everything I dreamed of for an online PVP arena style game - fan comment
Pre-made heroes with static abilities are a thing in the past. In RUiN, the player is given the liberty to freely pick and choose from a large pool of abilities and create a unique combination of their choice to defeat their enemies. Players must adapt their loadouts and play styles and work together as a team to counter the opposition, all while the arena becomes increasingly hazardous with each passing moment. Only one team can be left standing.
Tarhead Studio has been working passionately for almost two years developing RUiN have now reached the home stretch of the development process. In order to reach the finish line, the studio asks for a humble $10 000 USD to enable the release of RUiN. An Early-Access version of the game will be available already in April this year if the campaign is successful.

The studio consists of a total of 12 developers who met during their game development education at the University of Skövde, Sweden. During 2013, the group of students collaborated to initiate the development of RUiN, a project of passion and a manifest to their love of games. Eventually forming their own company, Tarhead Studio are now close to fulfilling their dream of releasing RUiN.
