Archlord is a fantasy Role-Playing MMO Game.
ArchLord is an epic fantasy mix featuring lush in game graphics, once you pick your race and profession, you are dropped into the world of Chantra. The missions are all easy to find – just look for the NPC with an icon floating above its head. As you level, you will get more and more missions, in a progressive format, and you will also unlock more skills. World of Chantra is designed around the five elements, fire, spirit, earth, water and air providing all the areas with very unique and distinctive looks. The game was originally released as a pay to play game in North America in October 2006 and has since been re-released as a free to play game.
The game controls are decent, using a combination of the keyboard and mouse. You can navigate the interface with a mouse, but movement can use the WASD keys with the mouse free-look determining direction. The gameplay is really where Archlord is hoping to pull you in. They want to be a player vs. player game that has other aspects of of the standard fantasy-based MMORPG also. They try to improve on the PVP experience though. The site does have some good guides to walk you through the first decisions and levels in the game. Here's the basic guide. I found the gameplay in Archlord to be like a mix of World of Warcraft and Lineage II, with a little Guild Wars mixed in. You have access to banks (storage), a mail system, and an auction house.
Archlord is definitely worth to try and is way better then other free games around. It has some nice features for free game (like becoming Archlord and profession) so just try it, you might like it.
