Victory in battles requires players to take lots of strategic elements into consideration, you need to constantly upgrade Officers adding the four attributes points, train officers to grow, fortify equipment, pay attention to the gap between officer levels and fighting stages, match unit types to the leading officer’s specialty, and plan the formation of officers to counter-attack the opponents.

Overall Checkmate is very pleasant and fun game to play and feel like the game is more complex than other strategy title out there. The only thing that pulls him down is the lack of a decent 3D graphics.
